I serve the Moon

I serve only the Moon, except for it, tonight, say nothing more

Speak to me of nothing but sweetness and of light, say nothing more

Don’t speak to me about suffering, tell me of nothing but treasures

Don’t worry too much if you feel out of touch, downright, say nothing more

Last night I went completely mad, Love saw me and spoke to me

I’m here, stop screaming, don’t tear your clothes out of spite, say nothing more

I told Love, I saw something that frightened me last night

It doesn’t exist anymore, the thing that gave you a fright,  say nothing more

I will whisper secrets of latent words into your ear

If you agree, confirm with a nod, ever so slight, say nothing more

On the Path of the Heart, I met a life-giving moon-like beauty

The Way of the Heart is a pleasurable, delicate flight , say nothing more

I asked, what kind of Moon is this? My Heart replied showing the Way,

It’s beyond your measure, move on, despite that oversight, say nothing more

I wonder. Is this truly the face of an Angel or is it human?

It is beyond angel or human, to be quite forthright, say nothing more

I asked: What is this? Tell me! This has turned my world upside down!

Remain thus overturned, yet hold tight,  say nothing more

You who are sitting in a house, that teems with thoughts and images

Rise above and leave it, take all your belongings outright, say nothing more

O Heart! I exclaimed, be like a Father to me, this is not how God would consentMy beloved son, what you say is completely true all right, but say nothing more

There is a realm Transcending
believers and non-believers
Our thoughts transform when
we enter that space
The Sage, he yields, when he arrives there
For there is no room for belief or disbelief

A love so enduring that never fades

These verse are often translated (rather incorrectly) as:
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
